Rare tried again to make a Banjo game, and eventually released Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts for Xbox 360 published by Microsoft. Banjo uses Kazooie to destroy the door, revealing a massive world of Jiggys, Music Notes, and Honey Comb Pieces. Banjo-Dreamie is a Banjo-Kazooie rom-hack which serves as a sequel to Banjo-Kazooie and prequel to Banjo-Tooie. In 2006, Rare released a trailer for Banjo-X, a remake of Banjo-Kazooie, where Banjo and Kazooie were told to stay out from behind a door. It was re-released on Xbox 360, and make playable on Xbox One via Rare Replay. Both the original and its sequel garnered great critical and fan acclaim during its heyday, and is still enjoyed by fans new and old. Microsoft had no creative control over the game. Banjo Kazooie is one of Rares most famous and beloved franchises to come to light during the N64 era. In 2004, Rare started working on a game codenamed Banjo-X, it was a remake of the original game, then it was changed to a new game but with a focus on cooperative play and then changed to Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. A rumor was spread about Banjo-Threeie, but the tech demo was only showing off the GameCube's hardware capabilities.
